Taller SensePi: experiencias sensoriales mediante la Raspberry Pi
by museoinf
Arduino platform (https://www.arduino.cc/) is an example of the microcontroller’s potential in Maker Movement particularly, on the artistic field; however, its poor performance limits its possibilities.
Raspberry Pi platform (https://www.raspberrypi.org/) follows the same approach Do-it-yourself (DiY) buthere it multiplies the possibilities of reflecting interactive ideas more complex thank to its processing capabilities and also due to its HD video interfaces, audio, network connection, etc.
Whorkshop main objective sensePi is to open the eyes of inquiring people who want to implement technologically complex projects. Sub-objectives development will enable us to show how combining TIC and art is an achievable goal.
This workshop will be hands-on,in order to imbue a design with sensitivity and interactivity.
What may seem more difficult will be put in practice through sub-objectives like operation of the sensors (cameras, motion sensors, tactile sensors, etc.) and control of actuators (screens, speaker system, servos, LED, etc.) and the aim of learning to use simple programming languages to connect the different elements.
Implementation
This free workshop is framed into ETSINF cultural week. It will be composed by two different parts; workshop itself and a ‘demo’ area full of examples and open to the public.
- Date: Thursday, 5 May 2016
- Timetable: 9:00 to 14:00
- Venue
- Demo Area: Hall ETSINF 1G Building
- Free Workshop: Linus Torvalds classroom, 2 groups of 30 members at the most. Seats will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, registration via email tocursoscortex@upv.es subject “Taller SensePi”.
